Drinks Reception
The Excellence in Mining and Exploration 2008 Drinks will be held at the close of Day 1 and Day 2, in the exhibition area on level 4. The drinks provide an enjoyable close to the first day of the event and offer all delegates a great opportunity to network and discuss business of the day.
Pre-Dinner Drinks Reception
The Excellence in Mining and Exploration 2008 Gala Dinner Drinks will be held prior to the Gala Dinner commencing and will be a highlight of the event. Drinks will be held in the foyer area outside the Ballroom on Tuesday 16th September.
National Mining Awards Gala Dinner
The National Mining Awards for 2008 in association with the Sydney Mining Club will be presented at the Gala Dinner at the end of the event. The Gala Dinner will be held in the Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel Sydney and will incorporate entertainment and the industry awards.
The National Mining Awards for 2008 in association with the Sydney Mining Club currently are:

- Applied Technology of the Year
- Discovery of the Year
- Deal of the Year
- Producer of the Year
- Growth story of the Year
- Manager of the Year
Legends in Mining Awards Breakfast
The legends award has been established to recognise "Legends", who have been selected by our panel from a cross section of people in mining and exploration, in media and mining and in finance and mining who have been key influencers in this sector. The guests will come from the mining industry and the financial and investment community. Every year we hold a function of this kind to recognize the contribution of individuals to Australia's mining industry both in Australia and globally.
