spacer Cameron Kelly spacer Cameron Kelly has spent the last three years working as in-house legal counsel for OneCarbon BV, a major Dutch carbon credit originator. In doing so, he has travelled to non-Annex 1 UNFCCC countries around the world, with particular expertise in structuring, negotiating and executing CDM projects in China and Vietnam.
Prior to this role, Cameron worked as a Research Fellow with the United Nations Convention Secretariats for both Climate Change and Migratory Species of Wild Animals in Bonn, Germany, and as a consultant to the Sydney office of the Baker & McKenzie Global Climate Change Group.
Cameron has bachelors degrees with honours in science and law, and a masters degree in science. He currently works for Optim Legal in Sydney as a Practice Leader in the firm’s newly formed Climate Change group.

spacer David Krsevan spacer David Krsevan is Manager of Energy and Environmental Markets at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). David has, in several different roles including trading, structuring and advisory, over 13 years experience in energy and environmental markets.
A primary focus of David’s current role at ASX is the development of financial markets for energy (electricity and gas), carbon/emissions, water and coal.
David has been directly engaged in energy and environmental market activities throughout his career to date having held roles with Integral Energy, Westpac Institutional Bank and more recently KPMG Risk Advisory.

Ms. MARIANNE LOUREY

spacer Marianne Lourey spacer Marianne Lourey is currently the Executive Director of the Energy and Earth Resources Policy Division of the Department of Primary Industries (DPI). Her division’s responsibilities include the development of energy markets and a framework for sustainable energy and earth resources investment, and energy security.
Over the last couple of years the Division has been actively working with the other states and territories on the design of a national emissions trading scheme through the National Emissions Trading Taskforce, and in developing policy initiatives that are complementary to an emissions trading scheme including the Victorian Renewable Energy Target or VRET scheme and the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target or VEET scheme.
Marianne’s previous professional roles include Manager Network Regulation at the Essential Services Commission, Director at KPMG providing advice to a range of participants in the energy industry, a number of roles within ABB to general manager level and an engineer with the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria.
Marianne has a first class honours degree in Engineering (Electrical) and an MBA.

Mr. SEBASTIAN HENBEST

spacer SEBASTIAN HENBEST spacer Sebastian is currently Lead Analyst for the Australia Division of New Carbon Finance (NCF) and is responsible for research and development of NCF’s proprietary Australian Carbon Price Forecasting Model.
Before joining NCF early in 2008, Sebastian spent three years in London working first with FreshMinds, a research consultancy, and then with activist firm Hanover Investors. Prior to this he was at the Centre for Dynamical Meteorology and Oceanography at Monash University in Melbourne where he taught atmospheric science and applied mathematics.
Sebastian is a physicist by training and holds a BSc in Theoretical Physics from Adelaide University, an MSc in Atmospheric Physics from Monash and most recently, an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University specialising in emissions trading and environmental markets.

spacer DANIEL ROSSETTO spacer Daniel is based in Sydney and works within JPMorgan Chase’s global Environmental Markets practice, responsible for voluntary and compliance greenhouse gas emission certificate origination, distribution and sales. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he worked on the carbon desk with Fortune 500 energy utility Enel SpA, based in Rome, which manages one of the world’s largest and most diverse portfolios of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, covering China, India and Latin America. He was also previously a member of the Australian states and territory governments’ National Emissions Trading Taskforce (NETT).

Ms. ELAINE PRIOR

spacer ELAINE PRIOR spacer Elaine Prior is a Director / Senior Analyst, at Citi Investment Research in Sydney. A key aspect of her current role is research into the tangible impacts of climate change on companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. This includes investigating the impacts of both carbon regulation and physical climate change. Elaine also works with Citi analysts in London and elsewhere on related global research projects. She has held various roles in investment research and funds management since 1987, and was top-rated BHP analyst for several years, specialising in analysis of the global iron and steel industries and steelmaking raw materials. She holds an MSc in petroleum engineering from Imperial College, London, and previously worked with Shell and then a consultancy, conducting technical and economic studies of petroleum reservoirs, mainly in the UK North Sea and Australia. In 1999, she undertook a degree in Antarctic Studies in Tasmania, gaining an enhanced appreciation of climate change science, and then worked briefly on environmental studies relating to Antarctic tourism.

spacer LISA WADE spacer Completed Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and finance in 1992, and has 13 years trading experience at various broking firms. Until 2003 Lisa was a Director at Citigroup London and Australia before moving to run money for a private family in Melbourne where she was responsible for portfolio management and Derivatives strategies for the fund. During her employment the fund consistently outperformed the market and she was a contributor to this outperformance. Lisa’s Derivatives trading experience is extensive and she is a specialist Arbitrage Trader. Lisa has traded both in Australia and in London. Lisa has over the years attained the following industry qualifications: SFE Registered Rep, US Series 7, Registered SEATS operator, Registered ASX options market maker, London International Market Maker, UK FSA Registration.

Laura has worked as a Senior Strategic Business Consultant across a range of sectors including retail, finance, insurance, health, engineering and construction. Laura has a background in industrial chemistry, finance & investment and is completing her Masters Degree in Environmental Management.

spacer ANNA McCANN spacer Anna McCann is a Senior Associate in Baker & McKenzie’s leading Global Climate Change and Clean Energy Group. Anna specialises in carbon markets in particular providing advice to governments, financial institutions and participants of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme as well as entities engaging in emissions reduction projects under the Kyoto Protocol (CDM and JI) and other regional and domestic climate change laws. Anna also has experience in the areas of contaminated land, waste and water issues.  Anna has relocated to the Firm's Melbourne office this year after working with the Clean Energy and Climate Change Team in London for over six years.

spacer STEPHEN DICKEY spacer Stephen’s background is in senior management with organizations like TNT and British Airways until, that is, he immigrated to Australia in 2002 when he caught the climate change bug. As a consequence he joined Oxfam, then WWF Australia and consulted to Climate Friendly before founding CDRS in 2007. Carbon Depository and Registry Services was formed from Stephen’s recognition that business must play a critical role in meeting the challenge of climate change. As consultant to Morgan Stanley International CDRS represents their Carbon Bank in Australia and NZ and provides business with a comprehensive suite of carbon trading solutions.
